Pulp

Alasia Franco Pulp

Poplar is an excellent plant to obtain the basic product for the manufacture of paper: pulp. Following specific industrial processes, pulp is separated from the woody parts of the plant and processed to reach a suitable bleaching, in order to obtain a product that is suitable to its final use.

Medium rotation forestry (MRF) is the quickest system (5 years) for the supply of large volumes of material for the production of pulp. Tables 1 and 2 show the clones that are currently available at our headquarters, suitable for the production of this derived product (Marte, AF3, AF16, AF18), as well as the countries where their cultivation is feasible.

We are currently able to produce from 250,000 to 400,000 tons of base material for each establishment; such amount can be increased upon request.
