Plywood panels are semi-finished products with layers of poplar veneer. They belong to the vast group of laminated or multilayer boards, although with a peculiar cross orientation of the different veneers, which confers an unvarying resistance of the material in all directions. Plywood, in its various forms, is widely used in construction and furnishings, since it is a finished material that requires quick finishing processes and is easy to work with.
Traditional long-cycle poplar planting (8-12 years) is the best cropping system for the supply of easy peeling trunks. Tables 1 and 2 show the clones that are currently available at our headquarters, suitable for the production of plywood (AF8, AF12), as well as the countries where their cultivation is feasible.
We are currently able to produce from 250,000 to 400,000 tons of base material for each establishment; such amount can be increased upon request.
